1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Main Character ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Main Character is a self-improvement app that provides 30-day guided paths, daily tasks, journaling, streak tracking, and goal setting. The App is available in a free tier and a premium subscription tier ("Premium" or "PRO").
3. Subscriptions & Billing
3.1 Subscription Plans
Premium is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription. Prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region.
3.2 Auto-Renewal
- Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple ID or Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
3.3 Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings:
- iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
- Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Premium features until then.
3.4 Refunds
All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Refund requests must be directed to the respective platform:
- Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google: Google Play refund support
3.5 Free Trial
If a free trial is offered, it will be stated at the time of purchase. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and your account will be charged.
4. Account
4.1 Registration
You must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
4.2 Account Deletion
You may request account deletion at any time through the App (Settings > Delete Account). Upon deletion, all your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through your device's subscription settings.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you create within the App (such as journal entries and goals). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process this content solely to provide the service to you.
6. Intellectual Property
All content provided within the App — including paths, tasks, text, graphics, icons, and design — is the property of Main Character and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written consent.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
- Create multiple accounts to abuse free features or trials
- Share, resell, or transfer your Premium subscription
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Main Character is a self-improvement tool and does not provide medical, psychological, or professional advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Main Character and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Main Character and its team from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Main Character operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
